Money is available to help graduate students travel to present research, attend conferences, and participate in professional training courses, focus groups, certification programs, and more.
The Graduate Student Senate offers two, $300 awards, per student, for eligible master's students and three, $300 awards, per student, for eligible doctoral students. Often, these awards are matched by a departmental contribution. In 2009-2010, the Graduate Student Senate awarded over $50,000 in travel money to graduate students.
To apply for travel funds, you need to fill out the travel grant application at least 2 weeks prior to the date of travel. If the deadline is not met, an appeal may be made.
