Institute of Government and Politics
Welcome to the Institute of Government and Politics (IOGP) at Utah State University. The IOGP aims to enhance understanding of government institutions and the political process by providing opportunities that bridge practical skills and academic training. The non-partisan IOGP will engage the Utah State students, faculty, political and community leaders, and citizens in the discussion of policy development through its internship program, visiting speakers, seminars, and policy forums.

Government and policy internship opportunities are endless for students of all majors. Internships are available at American Farmland Trust, CIA, CNN, Foreign Embassies, Kennedy Center for the Arts, USAID, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Department of Energy, White House ... and the list goes on.

Institute for Humane Studies paid internship in D.C.
Participants of this internship program will spend a rewarding summer completing internships with more than 80 think tanks and policy organizations across the country, learning about the principles and practices essential to policy making, and critically analyzing current events and policies.
The program includes instructive seminars, resume workshops, mentoring, and networking opportunities to prepare Fellows to succeed in the competitive job market. Undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students are eligible.

Campaign Internships
There are countless campaign internships that are ongoing. Senator Hatch is looking for several students to help with his campaign right now as well as during the summer. Other internship opportunities include Governor Herbert’s campaign, candidates for the new district, as well as local campaigns. The benefit of working on a campaign is that you are able to stay local and intern part-time.
