Center for Persons with Disabilities

Programs to support people with developmental disabilities through interdisciplinary preservice preparation and continuing education, provision of community services, research, and dissemination. Several projects at the CPD address outreach to families in Hispanic communities to help them access disability and health-related services.

Deaf Education

Provides information on the deaf education program at Utah State University and details of American Sign Language courses. The program aims to enable students to teach deaf children using a bilingual bicultural approach.

Offers educational programs, services, and policies aimed at creating healthy relationships and violence free environments.

Center for Women and Gender

The Center for Women and Gender, in partnership with SAAVI, the Psychology Department, Student Services, the USU Police Department, and FACT, was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office On Violence Against Women. The grant was awarded in the amount of $297,230 over three years. The purpose of this grant is for the implementation and operation of educational programs for the prevention of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking; and training of personnel serving on campus disciplinary/judicial boards on policies, protocols, and services around domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
