Out-of-State Schools

If you think your course should be evaluated for additional and/or different USU credit, you may use a Transfer Credit Recommendation Form to make that request. This form is intended for use by students who have been formally admitted to USU. Students who have not been admitted should contact the USU Admissions Office.

You may be asked for a transcript from your previous institution, a catalog description for the course, a syllabus, or other relevant class materials to help the academic department articulate the course appropriately.

These tables are updated often. The Utah System of Higher Education maintains annually-updated data for Utah Junior Colleges, LDS Business College, and BYU- Idaho. These tables incorporate that data, along with as-needed updates from USU academic departments.

The information presented is an unofficial guide to how courses may transfer. Other factors to consider are grades received in the courses, the year in which the course was taken, and the major pursued after transfer. In all instances, final decisions about acceptance of course credit will be made by Utah State University.
